Empowering curiosity
Programme Leader & Tutor
Keen is a graduate from the University of Cambridge, where he studied Psychological and Behavioural Sciences on a full scholarship. There, he learnt about the intersections of psychology and neuroscience, and developed his appreciation for the creativity hidden behind the production of new psychological knowledge.
He has taught for over 2 years, assisting more than 40 students from around the world with GCSE, A-Level, and IB subject content, personal statement editing, Oxbridge preparations and essay writing. His students have achieved top grades and have been accepted to leading universities, including Cambridge to study psychology. Believing that all students have the potential to excel given the right support, he tries to spark discussions in his lessons and develop students’ self-efficacy whilst supporting the build up of important academic skills.
Seeing how psychology is still under-appreciated in Thailand, he wishes to raise awareness of the intellectual opportunities that this field is filled with, and hopes to spark an intrinsic desire in young people so that they can continue to inspire others to learn about the brain and behaviour.
The Youth Cognition and Behaviour Institute was created to be a hub for students to develop skills to understand and produce new psychological knowledge, as well as to be a place to apply evidence-based psychological interventions into practice to help improve lives.
Outside of studying the brain, he likes to climb, occasionally sails, plays music, and wander around.
If you have any ideas on how the YCB Institute can serve young people better, or are in a position to help contribute to our mission, please send us a message here.
As we are growing, we are eager to collaborate with other enthusiastic people looking to share their love for the brain!
